Overview
Rewardys is operated by Territory Cybernetics Pty Ltd (Territory Cybernetics). This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
Account information: email address, name, optional phone number, and an optional counter display name you choose for shop scans.
Customer identifiers: a unique Rewardys member ID linked to your QR code, used when you present your code at participating businesses.
Reward activity: businesses you visit, reward balances, earn and redeem history, and in-app notifications.
Business use: if you operate a business workspace, we store your business name, suburb and state (Australia), optional logo and tagline, membership role, scan and lookup activity, and program participation tied to your account.
Device permissions: the business scanner uses your device camera only to read customer QR codes. We do not store photos or video from the camera.
Technical data: basic app diagnostics and authentication tokens required to keep you signed in securely.
How we use information
We use your information to operate loyalty rewards, display balances and alerts, authenticate your account, prevent fraud, and improve the service. We do not sell your personal information.
How information is shared
When you present your QR code or member ID at a participating business, that business can see your optional counter display name (if you set one), your Rewardys member ID, your current reward progress, and a limited history of recent visits at that business only (earn and redeem events needed to operate the program). Businesses do not receive your email address through the scan or lookup flow, and there is no public directory of customers for businesses to browse.
Service providers that help us run the app (such as hosting and database infrastructure) process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards.
Data retention and deletion
We keep account and reward records while your account is active. You can delete your account from the Account screen in the app. When you delete your account, we remove your authentication record and associated personal profile data subject to legal retention requirements.
Your choices
You can update your profile and counter display name in Account, leave the counter name blank to appear as "Rewardys member" at shops, find your member ID on the QR tab, request account deletion in the app, and contact us with privacy questions at support@rewardys.com.
Children
Rewardys is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
